Today I was teaching a lesson on nouns to my 3rd grade class. We ran out of time to complete the lesson because they had to go off to their specials. Now, I need to give that whole entire class a ten finger woo because they begged me to keep them from gym class so that they could continue with the lesson! What a great bunch of kids!! I am really fortunate this year.
Welcome. This is a special education blog where I will share my experiences and ideas for teaching those unique learners of various disabilities and needs.

ReplyDeleteCome check out SPED blog!
I love the sweet and ARGH! Started using this in my class in October and it really put the fun back into the scoreboard. I'm now trying to think of some good ones for November. Have you thought of any? I was thinking of "Mmmm....pumpkin pie" as we rub our tummies and "Oh, turkey" or "Gobble, gobble" as we do a gosh durn it gesture downwards with our hands. Let me know if you have any better ideas! Love your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteFunny, I was just thinking about this this morning since I haven't updated the scoreboard for Nov. I was thinking pumpkin pie and turkey. I did not want to use gobble because we give ten finger gobbles instead of woo's during Nov. For December I am planning on using yum with a GB cookie and Bahumbug for the groans. Thanks for stopping by and please keep checking back.
